Myeongseondo is an uninhabited island located in front of Palgakjeong Pavilion at Jinha Beach. It’s called Myeongseondo originally because of the sound of many cicadas crying. But now it is known as an island where immortals came down and played. At low tide, a sandbank is formed between Jinha Beach and Myeongseondo Island, and you can walk on it, making it look like a small miracle of Moses.

Everyone knew about Myeongseondo Island, but as dotmill carried out a project using immersive media art to revitalize Jinha Beach in 2022, Myeongseondo Island is currently gaining fame as a mysterious night view spot.

Myeongseondo Island has become a hot place for night views.

At Myeongseondo Island, trees shining in neon colors welcome tourists, and fantastic media art that cannot be found in reality unfolds. The shining beach, cute jellyfish-shaped lighting decorations placed all over the island, and the magnificent waterfall flowing over the rocks make Myeongseondo Island even more special.

Tourists who visited Myeongseondo Island were amazed by the media art Milky Way Road built on trees and the brilliant lights that filled the entire island, saying it felt like they had stepped into the Avatar world.

The noble deer, the roaring tiger, and the leisurely swimming turtle have become hot topics on social media, and are considered the most popular media art among children who come to Myeongseondo Island to play.

In addition, photo zones that can only be seen on Myeongseondo Island, such as whales swimming in the rippling waves, a sandy beach shining in various colors, and starry waves that seem to be full of fireflies, gave tourists enjoyment.

While enjoying the media art, there is an observatory following the designated walking path to the top. The sight of golden light pouring over the large tree at the observatory and coloring the floor is very beautiful. In particular, the floor lights up according to the footsteps of tourists, making even adults fall into a world of innocence.

The harmony between Myeongseondo and Media Art was successful in attracting many tourists and gave them fun.

As dotmill introduced media art on the One Tree in 2020, it received even more love, and people headed to Imjingak to see the media art.

Gamcheon Culture Village used to be an underdeveloped village, but through urban regeneration projects, murals were painted on houses and streets, and empty houses in the village were converted into art spaces such as book cafes and photo galleries, making it a representative culture and arts district in Busan.

Iconic Movement prepared the public media art exhibition,Colorize Gamcheon, in collaboration with Saha-gu Office for the greater development of Gamcheon Culture Village.

The Colorize Gamcheon project is significant in that it does not limit the attractions of Gamcheon Culture Village to murals, and attempts to use media art to overcome the limitations of murals that change and are damaged over time.

Unlike murals, media art has the great advantage of being able to transmit the desired content at the desired time without being affected by time or weather.
