Yedang Lake Observatory Media Art Projection Mapping

Iconic Movement held a projection mapping media art show using realistic content on 70m towers and buildings to revitalize night tourism at Yedangho in Yesan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. This project effectively organizes the space through realistic content to provide visitors with a sense of immersion and original visual experience.
Immersive storytelling based on local legend "Yonggorang" gives visitors a new level of impression and maximizes the charm of the space through realistic content.

DETAILS

The content made the most of the spatial characteristics of Yedangho, giving it a three-dimensional and spatial sense through projection mapping technology.
In particular, the local legend "Yonggorang" is reinterpreted in a modern way to vividly express the dragon's ascension to the sky, and it is mapped to harmonize with the structure of the space, so each element is naturally connected to induce immersion of visitors.

In this process, the color and visuals were unified in consideration of repeated exposure of the content to minimize the sense of heterogeneity. Using the characteristics of projection mapping, 3D effects were applied to the flat surface to add realistic three-dimensional visuals, and the detailed details and texture of the dragon tower, the core object, were emphasized to capture the audience's attention. These space-tailored contents perfectly harmonize with the scenery of Yedangho and provide an unforgettable visual experience to visitors.
